It was Sunday, June 9th. Rain had stopped the action at MIS. Nascar driver Joey Logano and his wife, Brittany, left the track and settled in for a pleasant dinner at Clark Lake’s Pointe Bar and Grill. Seated nearby were A Plus Electric’s Carl Evanson and his wife, Abby. You may not know that Abby Evanson is the fashion world’s Everyday Abby. She has 295,000 followers on Instagram, and one of those followers is Brittany Logano. Carl and Abby recognized the Logano’s and Brittany spotted Abby across the room. Sitting several tables apart, it was an Instagram direct message that connected them at the restaurant.
At the next MIS race, the Evanson’s were guests of Joey Logano. From there, more common ground emerged. Carl and Abby learned of Joey’s work through a non-profit he created–the Joey Logano Foundation. The Foundation’s stated purpose is to “invest in organizations offering second chances to children and young adults during times of crisis.” It also “works to inspire others to live a life of generosity.” This thread of events could weave into Abby’s collaborating with the Logano’s to further this work.
